A solar still allows to obtain distilled water from contaminated water or from grass. It works by evaporating water on an inclined surface into a new container where the water is collected.

It looks like TRANSPARENT LID helps sunlight enter and warm the original water up. And the 'original water' container walls SHOULD NOT CONDUCT WELL.
